
LASEC offers training courses to CUHK biomedical researchers to improve animal welfare and support the objectives of the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (AEEC).
These courses are open to all CUHK researchers holding appropriate AEEC protocol approval and a valid Form 2 Animal Experiment License issued by the Department of Health.
Scheduled monthly courses are available covering commonly requested topics as indicated below.
Individual courses can also be prepared and can include lectures or hands-on workshops.
Lectures typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, while hands-on workshops take approximately 2 to 3 hours.
The training is coordinated by the LASEC Training Officer who is also responsible for the continuous training of LASEC staff.
