About Us

LASEC Transgenic and Cryogenic Facility (LTCF) is embedded in LASEC to provide cryopreservation, recovery and rederivation of mouse lines using a wide range of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs), facilitating the creation and management of genetically engineered mouse models for scientific research. Tailor-made strain services including strain rescue and speed expansion are also available upon request.

Pronuclear/ Cytoplasmic Microinjection

We are pleased to announce that LTCF has started to provide custom-designed CRISPR/Cas9-mediated GEM generation services for CUHK users. Capabilities of genetic modifications for PHASE ONE ​include gene knockout, small deletion, point mutation (SNP), and conditional knockouts through the insertion of loxP sites.
