About Us

LASEC Environmental and Biotechnology (LEBT) Laboratory is embedded in LASEC to provide cryopreservation, recovery and rederivation of mouse lines using a wide range of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs), facilitating the creation and management of genetically engineered mouse models for scientific research. Tailor-made strain services including strain rescue and speed expansion are also available upon request.

Cryopreservation & Storage

​Cryopreservation archives mouse strains for long-term storage and protects them against genetic drift and accidental loss.

Import & Cryorecovery

Cryorecovery is used to re-establish a line from frozen stock, either from the LTCF’s archive or another repository. 

Rederivation

Embryo transfer is an effective method to rederive mice known to be infected with viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

Strain Rescue

​Our custom-made service can rescue your endangered mouse strain from extinction due to breeding cessation or to health issues.

Speed Colony Expansion

Speed expansion service via in vitro fertilization (IVF) is able to rapidly expand your mouse colony for production of experimental cohort.
