To maintain the Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) status of CUHK animal facilities, the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (AEEC) have endorsed two key institutional policies:

- VCP-003/v1: Screening and Restriction of Biological Materials

Health Surveillance
LASEC conducts rigorous health monitoring across all CUHK animal holding and satellite facilities. Our active surveillance program includes:
- Quarterly pathogen screening
- Sentinel programs
- Comprehensive environmental monitoring
In line with our commitment to animal welfare and research transparency, current health reports are maintained in a secure database. Authorized researchers can access detailed test results via the online portal . Kindly note that there may be health status difference between holding rooms.
